Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month: The Calm & Soothe Collection
Throughout October, we're supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In partnership with the Pink Ribbon Foundation, we're donating £5 from every Limited Edition Calm & Soothe Gift Collection sold, helping to relieve the needs of people affected by breast cancer and fund vital research into early detection and treatment.
In the UK, nearly 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, that’s the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes. Breast cancer is the second most common cause of death from cancer in women in the UK, with around 11,500 people dying from breast cancer each year. Breast cancer also affects men, but it’s rare – around 370 men are diagnosed each year. 1 in 8 women in the UK will develop the disease in her lifetime.
The good news is, breast cancer is by and large a curable disease, with effective treatments available on the NHS, so there's every reason to be optimistic. Early detection is crucial to successful treatment, so it's important that we continue to spread awareness and raise funds to advance the understanding of breast cancer and its early detection and treatment. That's why we're teaming up with the Pink Ribbon Foundation to launch our limited-edition Calm & Soothe Collection, with £5 of each gift set being donated directly to charity throughout October.

About the Pink Ribbon Foundation
The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, have been affected by breast cancer, or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer and its early detection and treatment. There are a large number of such charities in the UK, each as deserving as the next. Many of the charities supported are the smaller ones, which operate on a shoestring. The Pink Ribbon Foundation relies on the hard work given by Trustees, interested parties and its Patrons. This is done in order to maximise the amount, which goes to the charities that benefit from the funds raised.
