Award winning facial moisturiser Review by Happyfamily

This moisturiser has won the Natural Health beauty awards 2014, Best in beauty 2015 and Beauty Best of the Best, and I can see why as it is a lovely moisturiser made mainly of natural ingredients. It is light yet very hydrating and penetrates the skin quickly. One of the best moisturisers that I have used. Highly recommended. (Posted on 28/11/2016)

Use VERY little to have the desired effect! Review by S2b an OAP

This moisturiser is intended to be applied twice daily, as I have been. It is intended especially for sensitive skin and I can confirm that I have had no adverse reaction to it which is GOOD! Whilst instructions for application are limited 'apply twice daily from forehead to decollete' what they do not tell you is that you need a VERY small amount. Unlike other moisturisers I have used, it is not easily absorbed and if you apply more than a very small piece size amount you will need to wipe off the excess which is a bit disconcerting as it suggests the product is a little more oily than I would expect. That said, it does seem to be effective so I am sure you could learn to live with it - and, using such a small amount it should last an awfully long time! It is part of a complete range which is 'advertised' on the enclosed leaflet so if you like this you can easily see what else is available. (Posted on 28/11/2016)

natural beauty... Review by Petra

Elemental Herbology Calendula and Rose Damask is one beautiful product. From the design of the container to the actual moisturiser I love this beauty product for one main reason - I can immediately feel it soothing my irritated and at times very red and sensitive skin. I love how it softened my skin immediately and after a couple of days use my skin is so soft and a lot less irritated. Everything about this moisturiser is natural and for me the lotion simply when applied disappeared without much work from me. The makers recommend that when applied you go from the decollete to the forehead, I would also recommend when applying the lotion, use a small application as too much can block your pores, plus start from your T-Zone then gently tap and pat it into your skin as too much rubbing of your skin will damage the delicate skin cells causing more irritation, even damage the cell walls which make up your skin. When applying to your neck and decollete be gentle and gently stroke upwards as this will minimise lines etc. This cream smells so good, and with the velvety texture, it really is a pleasure to use. Yes, it is expensive but the quality of the product is evident from the first application and with the wonderful results I receive from using it I would happily save to buy it when needed. Plus the richness of the product allows the product to go a lot further compared to the cheaper alternatives which are in the general beauty product market. Elemental Herbology Calendula and Rose Damask is a product I would happily recommend, as it is a natural product which suits sensitive skin and with no hidden nasties which included the dreaded parabens. The company also has a holistic approach and their products are based on the Five Element philosophy which is from Chinese medicine. I love everything about this natural product plus how Element Herbology do have a love of nature which is shown through their range of products. (Posted on 28/11/2016)

Smooth and light moisturiser Review by Esteban

As a moisturiser, the Elemental Herbology Calendula and Rose Damask is light and soothing on the skin, making it feel less tight and tired. The effect is also quite long-lasting, extending to a good 6-8 hours before it felt like it has worn off. I can't say it reduces redness whatsoever, and has no green tint in it either, but it does feel protective and a good shield from the harsh dryness of heating and air conditioning. At £37, it's not cheap, but you can use sparingly to get a good result, so I imagine it will be long-lasting, which improves the value for money. This is better than some other brands I've tried that are more, such as Clinique and Dermalogica - I'd recommend giving it a go. (Posted on 28/11/2016)

Beautiful product without nasties for all skins : but, good golly, the PRICE! Review by Lady Fancifull

There is no doubt in my mind and on my skin that this is a delightful, skin-and-whole-person kind product. And had this been priced differently I would have 5 starred it, but cost must always, for me, be a consideration, even if I have received it gratis for review: part of my rating would be : :would I BUY this. I have been a long time user of cruelty free products, using ingredients which are almost entirely natural, rather than novel, synthesised chemistry. I am absolutely of the old-hippie-brown-rice-and-lentils mindset : it just always seemed sensible, scientific, logical to want to ingest food close to natural, which we have evolved to process, and to apply, ditto products externally with a similar 'used for centuries and more' with benefits. Back in the day, such products were sourced from health shops at a fairly modest price. Unfortunately for the woman-who-is-not-a-millionaire-in-waiting, the competitive beauty industry seems to be on a mission to overprice all its products. I assume this is because the higher something is priced, the more consumers think it must be WORTH its price. Rather than thinking 'good heavens, the MARK-UP must be astronomical. Companies are jumping on band-wagons to patent fairly simple botanical cocktails, and give these a patented name. And then the consumer is (theoretically) impressed at what sounds 'scientific and sophisticated'. Well some are. Others sigh and curl their lips. Mine are so curled they have pleated at this point. Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful product containing fabulous essential oils and vegetable carrier oils, many of which have been in those long ago 'find-them-on-the-health-food-shop--counters', for decades (affordably) Rosa damascena, Calendula officinalis, Theobroma cacao, (here as cocoa butter) Vitellaria paradoxa (here as shea butter) and the like, all familiar and wonderful ingredients. And then everyone falls over backwards to find 'new hot plants' which can be used and given a cool new must-have spin. Jojoba? so 70s and 80s. Argan? so noughties and early tens. Let's hear it for our new plant! Eschium. I am not knocking the lovely plant. The world is full of lovely, effective plants. But it is a great shame that a justified desire to be kind to the one skin you have is being priced out of existence. I recommend the ingredients. Absolutely. I wish the pricing were as genuinely kind as the plants themselves (Posted on 28/11/2016)

It makes my skin look smooth Review by charlotte

This product is exactly as described. It glides on the skin, creamy but really lightweight, has a lovely smell and doesn't over clog the pores.
